This webpage contains known event dates for RC flying clubs in the Central North Carolina area. Whenever possible, flyers with event details, club locations and contact information will also be made available here. Do you have a club event you want others to know about? Great! Some Flying Clubs Past Events

The Central NC RC Flying Clubs 2025 season has started off with a BANG. The two images below were taken at the Spring IMAC Challenge put on by the Winston Salem Radio Control Club on 4-5 April.

Here are two images taken at the Spring Fun-Fly put on by the Greensboro Radio Aeromodelers on 12 April. The large yellow model with three Aeromodelers working on it was built by a team from North Carolina A&T, which they use to compete in payload competitions. Yes, that fuselage was made using an aluminum downspout.

The next two images below were taken on 19 April at the 8th Annual Spring Fling - Fly What You Bring - Swap-N-Shop put on by the Central Carolina RC Modelers. The wind was blowing pretty good, but it did not stop these dedicated Aeromodelers from flying a couple real nice models. The lunch the club served was great too! CCRC has a very nice flying field.

This next group of images were taken on 26 April at the 4th Annual "Field of Dreams" Jet Classic put on by the Riverside Aero Modelers Society. A very nice gathering of some awesome turbine engine jets. As you can see, my two grandchildren August and Everly had a great time. RAMS also has a very nice flying field.

I decided for my next event visit I'd take a short trip, and it was well worth my time. The group of images below were taken on 10 May at the 8th Annual Spring Fun-Fly put on by the Colonel's Fly'n Aces. As you can see from the top middle image, this fun-fly had a large attendance at a very nice flying field. Good weather, nice turnout, good food, and lots of flying buddies. What more could you ask for!!
